Why 'pencilfury'?
Because it all begins with a pencil... and also all of my pencils are quite angry.

Who is behind the fury of these pencils?
Darren Frisina, breaker of pencil leads, splasher of paint. I'm based in Melbourne, Australia.

What materials do you work with?
I work with oils and gouache on paper, panel, canvas and cardboard. I enjoy painting in studio and also outdoors because trees are notoriously adverse to relocating inside a low roof apartment to be painted.

Should I buy your work?
I think it's a good idea. Once you have one (or two) of my paintings, I'm sure you will too.
